What are the benefits of sauna!

It relaxes you, quite simply you are taking time away from your everyday worries in a calm relaxing space.

The feel of the steam and warmth soften the muscles and soothe those aches. If you sauna with others it becomes a social space for friendly chat and camaraderie.

We underestimate our need for social interaction and where better than a beautifully warm wood fired sauna. Sauna health benefits are numerous.

Cardiovascular health

By relaxing the body and reducing our stress sauna usage greatly improves our cardiovascular health.

” Research shows that sauna bathing may be able to help lower your risk of heart disease ” (University of Eastern Finland)

This study followed 2,300 sauna bathers for 20 years and found that the participants who visited the sauna more frequently (four to seven times a week) had significantly lower death rates from heart disease and stroke.”

There are also excellent benefits for less frequent usage.

Skin health

The largest organ in your body is your skin. Sauna will detoxify and cleanse your skin by sweating out the bad stuff. The heat will also improve blood flow to the skin creating a healthier complexion ( no need for expensive moisturisers here )

So you cant sleep?

Sauna users report better and deeper sleep after sauna usage. A rise is body temperature and a release of feel good endorphins creates the perfect pathway to sleep.

Our bodies will naturally fall in temperature as we become sleepy, from the highs of endorphin and temperatures in our sauna and the subsequent gentle fall in both, your body will effortlessly fall into deep restful sleep.
